Sports Museum and Zoo Passes Available at Library
August
is here and although it may seem like life is speeding by, there is
still time to enjoy those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. One
great way to do that is to take advantage of the many attractions that
are available in the greater Boston area. The Museum Pass Program
at the Lynnfield Public Library provides you the opportunity to do just
that.
The Library is delighted to announce its
membership in two new participating organizations. Passes are now
available for Zoo New England at both the Stone Zoo in Stoneham and the
Franklin Park Zoo in Dorchester. Sports fans will want to make
sure to plan a visit to The Sports Museum of New England in Boston.
Through the program, residents can checkout passes to the attraction of
their choice, just as they would a book or DVD. Both Zoo New
England and The Sports Museum passes allow free admission for up to six
individuals.
These attractions add to the passes already
available for the Boston Children’s Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts,
the Museum of Science, the Harvard Art Museums, the House of Seven
Gables, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Peabody Essex
Museum. You can reserve a pass in person or by phone at
(781)334-5411. Passes are reserved on a first come, first served
basis.
The passes have been purchased by the Friends of the
Lynnfield Library. The Friends of the Lynnfield Library comprise nearly
300 Lynnfield residents. Members of the organization last year
volunteered hundreds of hours and raised thousands of dollars to
support activities and services provided by the Library.
Information about joining and activities of the Friends of the
Lynnfield Library is available on the organization’s Web site:
