Donation Guidelines
What type of donations?
We accept the following types of books:
- Hardcover fiction and non-fiction
- Large fiction and non-fiction paperbacks
- Graphic novels
- All children and young adult materials
We greatly appreciate your donations of quality used books and media materials. Please check that your donations do not have water damage, ripped or missing pages, mold, stains, or debris.
Furthermore, keep in mind that there are a few items the Friends cannot accept including:
- DVDs
- VHS tapes
- Music CDs
- small mass-market paperbacks
- textbooks
- encyclopedias & dictionaries
- Reader’s Digest Condensed collections
- magazines
- computer manuals
- games
- puzzles
Where do I drop them off?
Kindly bring your boxed or bagged donations to the Library Circulation Desk. It would be most helpful for the staff if you could use boxes or bags that you can leave at the library with your donations. Thank you!
When?
During regular library hours. Check the Lynnfield Library “Hours and Closings” page to make sure they’ll be open for donations!
