Fall Book Sale – Thank You to Volunteers, Shoppers, and Community Partners!

We had a glorious fall weekend for our semi annual book sale on Saturday, October 15, and it was a very successful event that engaged several other community groups. Our streamlined book sale setup featured thousands of hardcover fiction, large paperbacks, current events nonfiction, and a range of cooking, crafts, decorating, and arts books. We even featured a selection of great-looking coffee table books and a fall holiday table that sold out quickly! FOLL raised more than $3,000 this weekend, which will be used to fund library programs and resources as outlined in our annual budget.

We want to thank the volunteers who helped to move books, post signs around town, and help customers throughout the day. We could never have done this without all of your efforts!

We also want to thank the community partners who generously shared the day with us:

  • The Lynnfield Historical Society offered folks at the book sale free coffee and for hosting a bake sale. All proceeds will be donated to FOLL—we so appreciate the generous support and community teamwork!
  • Scouts Troop 48 hosted a booth to take orders for their fantastic holiday wreaths, and provided some additional help with setup and cleanup!
  • The Ladies of Lynnfield joined us to hand out information on their 53rd annual toy drive that will take place this holiday season!

We love working with local groups to support each other and create a true sense of community in Lynnfield! If you want to collaborate with us, either at future FOLL events or by inviting FOLL to join yours, please contact us!
