Friends of the Lynnfield Library Seeking Donations for the Spring Used Book Sale, May 21, 2016

Book worms had a super enjoyable time of browsing our eclectic selections

The Friends of the Lynnfield Library have set the Spring Book Sale for Saturday, May 21 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on the Town Common.   In case of inclement weather, the Lynnfield Library will accommodate the sale inside the building.  The sale items will include a large assortment of gently used books and other media materials, ready for appreciative new owners.

The Friends would like to request donations of hardcover non-fiction, small and large fiction and non-fiction paperbacks, DVDs, music CDs and all children and young adult materials.  Please check that your donations do not have water damage, ripped or missing pages, mold, stains, or debris.  The Friends cannot accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed collections, magazines, games or puzzles.

Please bring your boxed or bagged donations to the Library Circulation Desk or leave them in the Library foyer.  It would be most helpful for the staff if you could use boxes or bags that you can leave at the library with your donations. The Library is accepting donations until one week before the sale.

“We are delighted that once again, we will be part of a great day of community in the Town of Lynnfield” says Ann Decker, Friends President.  “We will be sharing space with ‘Crafters on the Common’, sponsored by Centre Congregational Church and the Lynnfield Art Guild’s Spring Art Show at the Meeting House.  Just down the road at the Middle School will be all the excitement of Townscape’s ‘Geraniumfest and Kids Day’ with its many activities and beautiful plants. Our Spring Used Book Sale has become more successful each year, a great way to help the Library fund programs and services. Come and stock up on summer reading materials at bargain prices”.
